The financial audit conducted on the Unia Tarnów Żużlowa Sportowa Spółka Akcyjna club revealed a multi-million debt towards players participating in this club during the 2024 season.

Additionally, due to existing gaps in documentation, the auditor could not assess the credibility of the club’s finances regarding its other obligations and operational activities. The conducted infrastructure inspection revealed a lack of electrical power at the facility, and, in places, the deplorable condition of the club’s equipment and the absence of elements necessary for professional league games. – The report highlights years of neglect and destruction of this facility – emphasized Ryszard Kowalski, Vice-President of the Management Board of Ekstraliga Żużlowa, member of the PZM Licensing Team.

In view of the above, due to the demonstrated debt, the inability to fully assess the club’s financial credibility, and the lack of suitable stadium infrastructure, Ekstraliga Żużlowa sp. o.o. today (10.10.2024) has once again decided to issue a negative recommendation for the club advancing to the 2. Ekstraliga competition in the 2025 season.

Ekstraliga Żużlowa bases its decisions solely on documents received during the verification process, particularly the auditor’s report and the infrastructure inspection report. Media reports on the club’s participation in the Metalkas 2. Ekstraliga competition are not currently confirmed in the documents we have received and, under such conditions, the club cannot be admitted to the competition – stated Ryszard Kowalski.

Ekstraliga Żużlowa’s decision is not final, the club is entitled to appeal to the Presidium of the Main Board PZM within 7 days from the date of receipt.
