Protasiewicz for Two Seasons

Piotr Protasiewicz, a legend of Zielona Góra speedway and former captain of Falubaz, will serve as the sports director at the club for the next two seasons starting from the 2023 season.

Piotr Protasiewicz assumed the role of sports director at the Zielona Góra club after ending his rich sports career. In his first season, he achieved an incredible result. Falubaz advanced to the PGE Ekstraliga, winning all 20 matches in the season! This year, NovyHotel Falubaz achieved its goal by staying in the highest league, additionally finishing the competition in the quarterfinals.

– Two years ago, when I started my activity in the club, my dream was a quick promotion, then maintaining in the PGE Ekstraliga, and strengthening the team. So that the club would become more stable and return to the times when it was at the top. We have a great management and co-owners of the club, that is the most important people. We can talk about transfers, but someone has to finalize these talks later and be the backup. Personally, I think I’m doing well, and so far, there have been no major complaints about my work. There was a mutual desire for further cooperation, and we reached an agreement for the 2025 and 2026 seasons – said Piotr Protasiewicz.

– I can’t imagine not having Piotr Protasiewicz with us at the club. He is a natural candidate for the sports director, and his two years of work have proven it. Piotr is primarily a very committed person with tremendous knowledge not only of speedway. With his support, running the club is definitely easier – said Wojciech Domagała, president of ZKŻ SSA.

In the 2025 season, the Zielona Góra team will be represented by: Leon Madsen, Jarosław Hampel, Przemysław Pawlicki, Rasmus Jensen, Michał Curzytek, Oskar Hurysz, Mitchell McDiarmid, and William Cairns. We will know the names of additional players in November.
