PGE Ekstraliga: Organizational Regulations for the 2025 Season

The Organizational Regulations for the PGE Ekstraliga for 2025 have been published. As in previous years, there are no major changes, and one of the few new features is the role of setting up nominated races.

From the 2025 season in the PGE Ekstraliga, magnetic boards for selecting nominated race line-ups will be replaced with touch screens. According to the regulations of the world’s best speedway league, within 4 minutes after the conclusion of the 13th race, the manager of the losing team or, in case of a draw, the away team’s manager, will select the starting positions for the nominated races using the new setups. After another 4 minutes, the selection of riders (from both teams) who will compete in the 14th and 15th races of the day will occur.

The entire procedure will be broadcasted on television as in previous seasons, and the selected line-ups will also be visible in the text-based updates in the Ekstraliga Żużlowa mobile app.

The Organizational Regulations also provide for the option to have two kevlar suit designs. ORLEN OIL MOTOR Lublin is utilizing this option, having both dark and light shades of suits. From the 2026 season, having two kevlars will be mandatory for every PGE Ekstraliga club (in light and dark color schemes). According to the regulations, the host has the priority to choose the pattern/color scheme for a given match, which they include with the announced team lineup.
