The Dane shared positive information regarding his health condition after the accident in the first start of the Latvian round of FIM SGP, but noted that it will take a long time to recover. – The road to recovery is long, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel – wrote Michelsen.

A few tough days have passed since the surgery on Thursday morning. I was discharged from the hospital on Friday evening and since then I have been trying to relax and recover. The surgery went according to plan, and the surgeon was satisfied with the results. I underwent a 4-hour procedure during which my shattered humerus and shoulder joint were repaired. Now I need time to heal. I hope to start rehabilitation soon. The broken elbow should heal on its own, and after scans of my foot, we found out that my heel is broken. The road to recovery is long, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel! Once again, thank you very much for all the wishes, messages, and calls; it means a lot to me – shared Mikkel Michelsen on his Instagram profile.
