As announced on their social media, ARGED MALESA stated that Mariusz Staszewski will not lead the Ostrowa team in the next season’s METALKAS 2. Ekstraliga. The experienced coach has a valid contract with the club until the end of 2024, which he has already decided not to extend.

Staszewski spent nine years in Ostrowa Wlkp. He experienced highs and lows with the team, with the most significant success being the promotion to the PGE Ekstraliga achieved in 2021. This season, the team from Ostrow was performing well in the METALKAS 2. Ekstraliga, winning the regular season. However, they faltered in the semifinals against ABRAMCZYK POLONIA Bydgoszcz, which dashed their plans for a swift return to the elite.

Tż Ostrovia S.A. announces that after nine years of cooperation, at the end of 2024, the employment contract with coach Mariusz Staszewski will be terminated. This decision was made in agreement with the coach and the club’s management, reflecting mutual respect and understanding. We thank coach Staszewski for his dedication and contribution to the club’s development. We wish him further success in future endeavors and assure him that he will always be welcome in Ostrow. The club’s management is already in talks with potential candidates for a new coach. We also wish to emphasize that our vision for the future remains unchanged – we will continue the development of the first team and the intensive training of our young talents – was stated in the club’s announcement.
