Tai Woffinden, speedway rider for BETARD SPARTA Wrocław, participated in a dangerously looking crash during the June Grand Prix tournament in Gorzów Wlkp. Initial diagnoses indicated a return to motorcycle riding in August, but it turns out the break will last at least an additional four weeks.

As a result of the crash, Woffinden suffered an elbow fracture in four places. – I am devastated and sad, but I have to tell you that I will be away from speedway for another four weeks, after which we will repeat the X-ray, and if everything is fine then, I will be able to start all over again in September – wrote the three-time individual world champion on social media.

This means that in addition to his absence in the PGE Ekstraliga games, he will also miss the next two Grand Prix tournaments, which will take place in Cardiff and Wrocław. In them, the Briton will be replaced by the first cycle reserve – Maciej Janowski.
