The 29-year-old Latvian sealed the title of Individual European Champion 2024. The rider repeated his feat from 2017. Silver for Leon Madsen. Bronze was claimed by Kacper Woryna. The fourth round of the TAURON Speedway Euro Championship in Chorzów was won by Anders Thomsen.

The inaugural race saw a fall. In the first turn, Tom Brennan was pulled too hard as he tried to get to the front of the pack. In the restart, the best start was made by Leon Madsen, who became the leader of the competition from the beginning. In the 3rd race, fans watched the competition among Polish representatives. The winner turned out to be Robert Chmiel. Piotr Pawlicki had trouble controlling his motorcycle, who after a successful start saved himself from falling and dropped to the last place. In the next race, there was a duel between Patryk Dudek and Andzejs Lebedevs. The better one was the Pole, who used the inside track well in the first phase of the competition and quickly dashed for three points.

The second series started with another interruption. Norick Bloedorn lost control of his motorcycle coming out of the first turn. Fortunately, he avoided a collision with Anders Thomsen and hit the inflatable barrier. The race was interrupted, and the German was disqualified from the re-run. In the repeated race there was a Danish duel – on the distance Leon Madsen defeated Anders Thomsen.

The first races of the third series started unfortunately. During the last lap of the 9th race, there was contact between Maciej Janowski and Jacob Thorssell. The Pole was pulled too hard. He hit the Swede’s tire with his arm, and both riders landed under the inflatable barriers. Thorssell stood up by himself after a moment, while Janowski was taken off the track by an ambulance and transported to the hospital.

In the 14th race, Tim Sorensen appeared on the track for the first time. The reserve rider started in place of Maciej Janowski. The Dane failed to catch up with the rest of the pack. The race was confidently won by Rasmus Jensen.
