KRONO-PLAST WŁÓKNIARZ with a new rider. Hellström Bängs joins the team

The ranks of the KRONO-PLAST WŁÓKNIARZ Częstochowa team have been strengthened in the 2025 season by a very talented Swede. Philip Hellström Bängs will have the opportunity to compete in the PGE Ekstraliga. He spent the past season in the Bydgoszcz club, which played in the METALKAS 2nd Ekstraliga.

He was born on March 24, 2003. He began his career in speedway sports in the Swedish team Masarna Avesta. He became known to a wider audience particularly in the 2021 season when he sensationally performed excellently during the Speedway of Nations. However, he had already achieved many successes in the 250 cc category. In 2017, he became the individual European Cup champion, and the following year he added a silver medal. Also in the 2018 season, he stood on the lowest step of the podium in the competition for the individual world champion title in the 250 cc.

In adult speedway, his greatest success so far is twice winning the silver medal in the Swedish Youth Individual Championships. Philip Hellström Bängs spent the last two seasons in the background of the PGE Ekstraliga representing the colors of ABRAMCZYK POLONIA Bydgoszcz. He also raced in his homeland for Smederna Eskilstuna.

The past season 2024 was successful for the Swede. He qualified for the SGP2 cycle, which in itself is a significant distinction. He finished the competition in 5th place. Additionally, together with the Swedish team, he won silver in the Speedway Of Nations 2 in Manchester.
