Historic advancement of ZOOLESZCZ GKM Grudziądz to the play-off phase!

The second attempt at the competition between Grudziądz and Częstochowa ended with a score of 60:30. The home team also secured the bonus point. Thanks to this, ZOOLESZCZ GKM Grudziądz secured a historic advancement to the play-off phase. The best junior of the match was Kacper Łobodziński (4).

The hosts started the competition with a 5:1 victory. Mads Hansen tried to fight for the second position, but his efforts were unsuccessful. In race 3, Leon Madsen had the best start, but on the exit of the corner, he was overtaken by Tarasenko. The Dane regained the lead at the beginning of the second lap. Kacper Pludra overtook Maksym Drabik just before the finish line. The pair Lidesy-Łobodziński led in race 4, but Kacper Woryna caught up with the home team’s junior and secured second position at the finish line. The race ended with a score of 4:2. ZOOLESZCZ GKM Grudziądz led 17:7 after the first series of starts.

In race 7, junior KRONO-PLAST WŁÓKNIARZA Częstochowa, Szymon Ludwiczak, who appeared as a tactical reserve for Bartosz Śmigielski, fell on the track. In the restart, Leon Madsen tried to secure the first position, but Max Fricke defended the lead. The competition ended with a score of 4:2.

In race 8, Kacper Woryna started excellently from the fourth lane and quickly took the lead. Vadim Tarasenko chased him, but also had to defend against Hansen. The young Dane overtook the home team rider on the last corner and secured second place. In race 9, Max Fricke passed Mikkel Michelsen, and Jaimon Lidsey defeated Kacper Woryna. The Pole tried to regain his position but was unsuccessful.

At the first corner of race 11, Woryna fell when Pludra’s pant leg caught on the hook of the guest rider’s motorcycle, causing Pludra to pull his rival. Woryna was excluded from the restart. In the restart, Leon Madsen won confidently.

In the last race of the main phase, Tarasenko won the start, and Lidsey overtook Madsen. The race proceeded without major emotions, and after it, ZOOLESZCZ GKM Grudziądz secured a place in the play-off phase.

Mads Hansen started well in race 14, but again lost out at the first corner. Jaimon Lidsey overtook Śmigielski, who fell on the second corner of the second lap but quickly left the track. To conclude the match, the hosts won doubly, reaching the 60-point mark.
