Hampel’s Return to MAXTO ITS IMME Named after Zenon Plech after Eight Years

Jarosław Hampel will participate for the third time in his career in MAXTO ITS IMME named after Zenon Plech, which will take place on April 4. The player will surely want to break his unfortunate streak since, in the previous two tournaments, he scored only 4 points combined. Will he succeed this time?

The nearly 43-year-old native of Pilsk’s Polonia has been experiencing a true renaissance in recent years. In 2024, he was the undisputed leader of STELMET FALUBAZ Zielona Góra and led the then-promoted PGE Ekstraliga team to the playoffs. Jarosław Hampel’s average run score was 2.080, the best since the 2015 season. In the individual PGE Ekstraliga ranking, he secured 11th place.

The rider ended the previous season with an injury after the quarter-final match between STELMET FALUBAZ Zielona Góra and ORLEN OIL MOTOR Lublin. As a result of a fall, he suffered fractures to the elbow bone and thumb of his left hand.

Unfortunately, Hampel hasn’t done well in the IMME tournaments named after Zenon Plech so far. He first appeared in 2014 on the Tarnów track and finished 13th with 4 points. It was even worse in 2017 in Gdańsk, where he crossed the finish line in last place five times.

After an 8-year break from competing in the IMME named after Zenon Plech, Jarosław Hampel will race at the Łódź Motoarena wearing the number 15 bib. In his first race, he faces an incredibly tough challenge as he will line up against Bartosz Zmarzlik, Artem Laguta, and Emil Sayfutdinov.
