The team led by coach Piotr Baron defeated the ZOOLESZCZ GKM Grudziądz team 54:36. The bonus point also went to the hosts. The best scoring player for Toruń was the flawless Robert Lambert, and the best for Grudziądz was Vadim Tarasenko (11).
In the inaugural heat of the derby meeting, the best was Max Fricke. The Australian had to constantly defend against Patryk Dudek’s attacks. In the youth heat, the lone Kacper Łobodziński dealt with the pair of junior hosts. The 4th race brought a lot of excitement, in which Robert Lambert made a beautiful move to overtake the leading Vadim Tarasenko.
In the race opening the second series of starts, the pair Rowe – Przedpełski was in the double lead for most of the race. However, the Polish rider made a mistake and was overtaken by Vadim Tarasenko right at the finish line. In the next races, KS APATOR’s leaders, Emil Sayfutdinov and Robert Lambert, showed excellent riding. After the 7th race, the hosts led 24:18.
The 8th race brought the first heat victory for ZOOLESZCZ GKM Grudziądz. The best was Michael Jepsen Jensen, who replaced Kacper Pludra as a tactical reserve. The Dane had to be cautious of Emil Sayfutdinov’s attacks throughout. In the 9th race, the pair Dudek – Lambert secured a double victory. After three series of starts, KS APATOR Toruń’s lead had already grown to 10 points.
In the 11th race, Patryk Dudek showcased great riding. The 2017 Individual World Vice-Champion, riding in the last position, managed to overtake Max Fricke despite a significant deficit to the Australian. The 4:2 victory of the host pair in the 13th race not only ensured KS APATOR Toruń’s overall win in the match but also secured the bonus point.
The first of the nominated races was another show of spectacular riding and a victory by Patryk Dudek. The 15th race ended with a double victory by the pair Lambert – Sayfutdinov.
