Cook show in PGE Ekstraliga. Complete Lambert (interesting facts from round 13)

We are behind the incomplete 13th round of the PGE Ekstraliga. KRONO-PLAST WŁÓKNIARZ Częstochowa vs NOVYHOTEL FALUBAZ Zielona Góra match has been postponed to August 8. The remaining matches ended with certain victories for the hosts. While the high victories of the clubs from Toruń and Lublin are not big surprises, the win of EBUT.PL STAL Gorzów over BETARD SPARTA Wrocław definitely is.

• Robert Lambert had a brilliant and flawless performance. The most effective rider of KS APATOR Toruń in this year’s campaign scored his third career full score and second at Motoarena. He scored 15 points for the second time, again against ZOOLESZCZ GKM. In 2021, at the Hallera stadium, just like in the home match, he won all 5 races. Interestingly, Lambert, riding for the Toruń club, has an incredible average against Grudziądz – 2.736.

• Martin Vaculik also had a good event. Although the Slovak did not start well in the duel with BETARD SPARTA Wrocław, he was unstoppable later. Interestingly, it was his first zero in the opening race since a match against WŁÓKNIARZ Częstochowa in last year’s quarterfinals.

• Benjamin Cook is undoubtedly one of the main discoveries of the current season. The Australian has individually won at least once in every match. He also defeated a regular Grand Prix participant and one of this year’s reserves (Maciej Janowski). This is an amazing achievement considering that Cook is debuting in the Polish league.

• Maciej Janowski presented unexpectedly average. One of the leaders of BETARD SPARTA Wrocław did not win individually on the track in Gorzów even once. It was the first time this happened since 2017.

• Kacper Łobodziński had a good match. The leader of the junior formation of ZOOLESZCZ GKM Grudziądz scored 4 points and a bonus, winning the junior race. This was the first victory of a junior at the stadium in Toruń since the club’s return to PGE Ekstraliga, both in a junior race and any race.
