Anniversary Poll of Przegląd Sportowy. Bartosz Zmarzlik will fight for the statuette again (preview of the Sports Champions Gala)
03.01.2025 16:50On January 4 in Warsaw, the ceremonial summary of voting in the 90th edition of Przegląd Sportowy’s Poll for Poland’s Best Athlete of 2024 will take place. In the last two editions, Iga Świątek triumphed, and Bartosz Zmarzlik took 2nd place. Broadcast starts at 20:00 on Polsat (earlier studio at Polsat Sport 1).
During the Sports Champions Gala in Warsaw, ten athletes who received the most votes in the first part of the poll will be presented and will compete for the statuette in the second stage. According to the rules, to cast a valid vote, simply send an SMS message to number 7371 with the content corresponding to the athlete’s number assigned in the final, as per the information included in promotional materials for the 2nd stage broadcast during the transmission. The end of voting will be announced during the ceremonial summary.
For Bartosz Zmarzlik, this is the ninth consecutive nomination for the awards for the best Polish athletes. Seven times he placed in the top ten, and in 2019 he won the prestigious statuette, defeating, among others, Robert Lewandowski. In 2021, he took 5th place, and in the last three editions, he placed on the podium (2022 – 3rd place, 2023 – 2nd place, 2024 – 2nd place). In the past two editions, Iga Świątek won.
The studio of the Sports Champions Gala will begin at 19:00 on Polsat Sport 1. The ceremony itself will start at 20:00 – broadcast on open Polsat.
