After the match between UNIA Tarnów and ULTRAPUR START Gniezno, Adrian Cyfer summarized his team’s performance and preparations before the rematch. The point advantage they achieved does not absolve the team from the need to remain fully concentrated. – We will be more focused and cannot relax in such matches – he emphasized in an interview with ekstraliga.pl.

The Tarnów club player scored 12 points with a bonus, but came in last place in the 15th race. He explained what influenced this result and spoke about his preparations before the match. – I definitely missed the setup timing. I totally lost my start. My mistake, but overall, I would take it in the dark because over the last two weeks, I’ve been more focused on getting back to my physical form after the last crash. I had problems with my hand, so I didn’t train much here in Tarnów either, because on Thursday I maybe went out twice. On Friday, I honestly didn’t have time because I was picking up my engine from the service in Kraków, so I couldn’t make it to that training session. I went out for the track test and knew it was good. I think I can be satisfied with this result because my team and I did a lot of hard work – explained our interlocutor.

Cyfer spoke about the difficult track conditions, highlighting the differences in the surface compared to previous matches and the cooperation with the trackmaster to best prepare Tarnów’s oval. – The track was different for every match, and that was our issue all season. I hope something will improve with this track in the future, because as you can see during the match, the falls were more caused by track conditions rather than the racing itself, so there’s room for improvement. The track was definitely different from the last home match because it was harder. We, as riders, also helped with the trackmasters until late at night to prepare the track as best as possible for us, so I think it partially worked – commented the 29-year-old.

The UNIA Tarnów rider noted that despite a 13-point lead, the team cannot afford to relax before the rematch in Gniezno. He emphasized the unpredictability of speedway racing and the difficulty of the terrain where the decisive clash will take place. – We will be more focused and cannot relax in such matches. Speedway has shown many times that even a big lead can vanish suddenly. Three races come, and the match starts from scratch. We need to stay concentrated and well-prepared. Gniezno is also not an easy terrain. We will do everything to maintain our lead and finalize the promotion to METALKAS 2. Ekstraliga – he concluded.
